Celebrate Freedom!

We are grateful for our military heroes who sacrifice and serve so we can enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We are also grateful for the heroes spreading the love and hope of Christ to those most vulnerable in our community so they can celebrate freedom too!

Quotes From the Field

"I don't like who I've become. I'm mean and tough. I never cry anymore..." (Woman on the street said as tears began to fall) "I gave a bed sheet to a kid last night to wrap up in. I'll give him your number." (Homeless veteran still protecting others) "Do you want one of my crackers? Will you pray for me?" (Homeless woman sharing the little she had; asking for the greatest we could give) "Have they really been looking and praying for me?" (Asked tearfully while looking at her picture on our Missing Children's poster) "The man who trafficked me is in prison now. I tell young girls who come in here not to fall for the lies." (Fast food restaurant employee on July Outreach)

DID YOU KNOW?

When porn is viewed or sex is purchased, the brain dehumanizes the individual and processes them as an object. What object would that be worst case? Best case? Think about it. Prayer

May God bless us with discomfort at easy answers, half-truths, & superficial relationships. May God bless us with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation so that we will work for justice, equity, and peace. May God bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer, so that we will reach out our hand to comfort them and change their pain to joy. And may God bless us with the foolishness to think that we can make a difference in our world, so that we will do the things which others say cannot be done.
