April Newsletter

Friends of El Paso CARES,

We are celebrating the continued expansion of our monthly poster outreach and the relationships being built across our city to multiple eyes and hearts and hands to reach our most vulnerable members. We are also truly grateful for our new partnership with Rescue Mission and the precious lives we are able to walk alongside there, as they are on their journey towards healing.

Outreach

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

El Paso CARES exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in El Paso. As part of that calling, every month we seek to reach to the lost and broken in our community to the glory of God by distributing posters of missing children throughout the city. Please join us in prayer over the motels, truck stops, convenience stores, etc. to help in this effort and that the lost be found and experience restoration and healing in Jesus Christ. In March, we went to 70 locations with posters, but we are in need of more volunteers to help us reach our goal of 80 locations a month. Friends of El Paso CARES, please consider how you are being called to serve our community and if you can be a part of our outreach team.

If you are interested in helping, please contact us!

Through education and awareness, we can be the eyes and ears of our community. Individuals that intentionally look and know how to respond can help save lives. If your church or business or organization would like a presentation on Human Trafficking, let us know. We are eager to share with others what we are learning from our training and most importantly our survivors.

Join Us in Prayer

Father God, we thank You for those who serve as protectors and advocates for children who are being lured into the sex trade. We ask for Your protection for the children, for You to thwart the plans of evil people, and help parents to see the dangers. With Your help, may these children in the El Paso region learn discernment and recognize there are terrible consequences to wrong choices. Help them to set life goals worthy of You and that will lead to a life rescued from poverty.
